Little Lunkers Fishing School
Little Lunkers Mission: We believe in providing a unique, positive, and fundamental opportunity for the children within the Lake Country Community to learn AND get excited about fishing by taking advantage of the wonderfully abundant resource that surrounds them!
This year we’ll be implementing a curriculum map which details the following classes for children of all ages and abilities.
 TWO WEEK FORMAT
Summer Splash Program
Class runs Monday through Friday.
Experience “Hook Line and Sinker” through the Hartland/Lakeside Summer School Program to begin your fishing education. This class will cover the safety and basics of fishing. This includes, casting techniques, fish identification, basic knot tying, photographing your catch, and investigating the rules that apply to the sport. Each participant will receive a rod, reel, tackle kit, and Little Lunkers T-shirt.

Intermediate & Advanced Programs
Our Intermediate and Advanced Classes run Monday through Thursday.
Our Intermediate Class will increase their beginning knowledge base acquired in “Hook, Line, & Sinker” classes and spend EVERY DAY AROUND THE WATER whether it’s simply fishing, refining casting techniques, testing their own minnow traps, or field testing an array of different artificial lures.
Advanced students will strive to master casting techniques, learning about artificial and live bait selection, developing an understanding of seasonal fish patterns and behaviors, creating personalized fishing journals, researching local topographic maps and GPS use, creating and presenting on a specific species using MAC computers, and spending an extended small-group session on the water in order to develop and publish their own Lake-Link Fishing Report of the experience.
Tournament Program
Our Tournament Class Anglers will engage in LIVE BASS TOURNAMENT ACTION! These students will man the back deck of a high powered tournament bass boat while “pulling their weight” in 2 guaranteed weeknight bass tournaments (3-4 hours each) on one of our beautiful Lake Country Lakes. Don’t worry, we’ll be prepared to compete as each angler will have spent 2 hours of pre-fishing time as part of the experience. Students will learn first-hand how to adjust and make decisions on the water, develop a pattern, accurately measure (ﾒbumpﾓ) fish, execute proper catch and release practices, understand live-well basics and fish management, Frabill net handling skills, and participation in the weigh-in process.Email your Registration Interest IMMEDIATELY as classes have maximum capacities and fill fast!!
